As humans we often tend to think that we are the rulers of animals.  That we own them, we care for them because they cannot do this for themselves.  Well... Meet Miss Arnette!  She truly believes that she is the owner of the Humane Society of Florida.  She has a long work day.  She is up at 6:30 to watch over the horses being fed and has two "pit" stops where she is to be picked up and given love after howling many instructions to the person feeding...and make sure you make those stops!!!  Miss Arnette then takes leisurely strolls to visit with her horses and will touch noses with them or literally take a nap under their very noses, as you can see in the picture below.  When she is done its then time to check the dogs.  Miss Arnette loves nothing more than to laze around the outside of the yard talking to the dogs and telling them that she is the BOSS.    Miss Arnette is a very finicky boss.  She wants what she wants when she wants it or else.  She is not an overly affectionate cat and those that try to cuddle with her will feel her wrath if she does not want to be touched.  Even those that are not cat people have learned to love Miss Arnette.  After all she is the BOSS here.  We have tried to make Miss Arnette a house animal over the years only to be cursed at and screamed at that how can we expect her to run the place if she does not have access to it.  Several buildings were then outfitted for her including the office and she has access to them as well as overseeing the running of the place.
